Dear Duncan

Dear Duncan,

My sweet old dog.  Dad told me how you threw up all over the floor last night.  I am so sorry you are homesick for Atlanta and your big sister.  I miss you too and I am trying my best to convince Kat & Paul to let you visit.  I know you are in need of a vacation.  We would have the best time!  Late night cuddle sessions, walks through the park, treats galore.  It will be a wonderful way to bring in the New Year.

I just need a little help from you if we are going to make this happen.

First of all, you know how you always run to greet and give them kisses?  Well, I think you need to be a little more intimidating... maybe try growling or showing your teeth? Whichever you prefer.

I also think you need to start voicing your opinions.  Bark.  Bark as loud, and as long as you want.  Freedom of speech.  Bark and let the whole neighborhood know just how much you want to go to Atlanta.  Especially at night.

And lastly, explore the house.  The electric fence may be installed inside, but I'll let you in on a little secret... Have you noticed you no longer wear the collar?  No collar = no electric shock = able to go upstairs!

Kat and Paul’s room is on the left.  Head right in there and revert back to your puppy stage.  Forget what Stodder taught you and feel free to get your paws on everything in sight.

This will greatly help our chances. In the meantime I will give them the whole I’m responsible speech.

We are so close and I can’t wait for you to come live with me!

Your big Sis

Dear Big C,
I would love to visit you, but I would miss Kat and Paul too much. I’ve finally trained them to be good parents...and believe me, it wasn't easy. See you at Christmas. xoxox Duncandog
