i left my heart in Tuscaloosa...

my heart is aching.
my most favorite place in the whole wide world

its just shocking to see the place you love,
the place you called home for 5 years and had some of the absolute,
very best times of your life, hurting so much.

im praying for my old college town and all those affected

Ohmy...sometimes I try not to look at pictures and videos because it just makes it more real and just so very sad. Even though it hasn't directly happened to you, it still hurts and shocks. :(

Hugs to you!

I'm def praying and thinking of the people affected by these storms! Mostly important the state of AL...I can only imagine how you feel, being you spent your college years there. That video is crazy!

Ohmygosh this totally made me cry. My husband took the computer to watch the video and literally had to calm me down during it. A tornado hit a few blocks from a restaurant I was at last week (it hit while I was there and knocked out power and the street lights) and ruined several homes. It is so so scary and just so freaking sad! I'm glad everyone is pulling together to help!

thanks for this post!

WOAH omg. i cant believe that! that is so awful. my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected. and with you ofcourse.
so awful when such bad weather can literally ruin everything. Over january and feburary, a lot of small towns in Australia were completely ruined from floods and tornado's! it was crazy!

on a happier note..ROYAL WEDDING TOMORROW. HOW EXCITING :) X

oh i know! it's so sad and surreal. i grew up in the chattanooga area and a lot of my friends' homes were destroyed last night in the tornados that hit ringgold & apison. one of my high school classmates was also killed in these storms. i've been through a number of tornados, but you never get used to the destruction. thoughts & prayers with your loved ones too!

that video was INSANE. growing up in Texas I know how terrible torandoes can be, but that just breaks my heart to actually watch the torando happen. hope all your loved ones are safe, praying for the survivors. xox

Tuscaloosa is my college town too...and we live about an hour away now. I was so afraid for all my friends still there, but thank goodness they are all okay. Still, I'm in disbelief about all the destruction in every direction from us. We were so lucky.

It's so sad. I use to live in Alabama and to see it all on tv and not be able to reach friends is just awful!
