jello shot fruit slices

miss ashley had a birthday the other weekend and since the weather was so wonderfully beautiful,
it was celebrated in the sunshine by her pool. i wanted to bring the birthday girly something special,
so really jello shot fruit slices seemed like the only logical answer.
i've seen them before floating around in internetland and justi love them.

how to make:
* citrus fruit is easier for peeling
  • slice fruit in half
  • remove pulp carefully
  • make jello mix [1 cup boiling water/1 cup vodka]
  • fill each half rind with jello
  • i placed each rind in a muffin tin and used pasta to help it sit upright. which looked sort of silly but works perfectly
  • place tin in refrigerator and let sit for a couple of hour
  • once the jello sets, place fruit open side down on a cutting board and cut into quarters

put on plate and serve!

I've also seen Lime Tequila Shots..
Just hallow out the lime, but leave a little in there, add tequila, put salt around the rim of the lime..and BAM! :)
