a semester at sea

a little sister of mine has been experiencing life on a ship for the past month now.
a little thing called semester at sea!
and i have been having the very best time living vicariously through her adventures

...Notre Dame in Paris, Healy sightings in Ireland, beach days in Portugal
and oooh you know, a Coldplay concert in GERMANY. so great

and i suppose there has been some boring stuff too
like, studying and classes and tests.  things like that

but! there are a bunch more countries still to go:
Ghana, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Dominica
..much more food to taste
..and pretty sites to see

so, if you have any recommendations or must-do's
please let me know and i will surely pass it on
to that cute little world traveler
that is my little sister

I DID Semester at Sea in Fall 2006 and it was single handedly the best experience of my life!

And she's coming to SA, we'll be in the same country for a few days :)

This is so exciting and I am so jealous!! I wish I had done some sort of ship travels or contiki when I left school. Where will she be in South Africa - would love to send you a few must-do's for her! x

holy crap, no way! I loved my summer abroad, but a whole semester traveling to all these different places would be so awesome. I hope she's living it up!

what an awesome experience! i would kill to do that! the only must-do: when she gets to rio, she needs to find the street that edward and bella stopped on to dance in breaking dawn. (before going on to isle esme, of course).

does that make me a nerd for suggesting that? ;)

I too am a Semester at Sea alumni!!! I was on the Spring 2003 voyage - Cape Town was one of the most beautiful spots. We also did Cape Town - your sister should definitely do a township visit there, as well as go to the top of Table Mountain. We docked in Salvador Brazil but I flew to Rio - if she likes to shop tell her to check out the evening market at Copacabana beach. I am so insanely jealous...those days were some of the best of my entire life!

That is so neat. talk about an amazing study abroad experience, I mean instead of getting to go to 1 place she is going all over that is awesome!

One of my friends is doing Semester at Sea right now! I wonder if they have multiple vessels or if it's just one?

I didn't even know that was a real thing!! Too bad I'm graduating this year. I would have loved that!

Your sister looks like she's having so much fun!
