espn. in a bakery. in connecticut!

while home for Christmas i went on a brunch date to a little bakery  with a high school best friend of mine. and as we waited for our table we noticed a camera crew outside getting their things together to come inside. the family in front of us said it was something for ESPN. so we said ooo okay, and then sort of looked at each other confused. because ESPN is sports. not french toast. but whatever!

so we waited and chatted and then in walked a man wearing a Notre Dame sweatshirt, and with Alabama is playing them in this years National Championship i just sort of had to say roll tide. how can you not! i told him i went there and he yelled over to the two tall boy-men in front of us to let them know. turns out they play football for Notre Dame, small world! so, the cameras being there started to make a little more sense, i guess. and that was that.  we all went on our merry ways to our tables. until those cameras popped up in our faces a little later on.

this past friday, a friend from home let me know we made a little appearance in a video on ESPN.com and the Notre Dame facebook page. turns out the sweatshirt wearing, Notre Dame dad-man i talked to is Mike Golic. he used to play football for ND too, just like his sons, then went on to play in the NFL and now has a radio show on ESPN called Mike & Mike.  so they were doing a little special on him and fam. now i know! i just didn't then.

and also. i will say mostly anything for free french toast. and coffee.but really, roll tide. and happy National Championship day!

Ah I'm excited to watch this when I can actually hear what you're saying! But you're cute, nonetheless. Happy 15 seconds of fame :)

Haha too funny. :) I'm from Indiana, but went to Alabama so I can't tell you how excited I am for tonight's game. We HAVE to win or I will hear about it forever. For. Ever. Everyone in my entire state (except my parents) will be cheering for ND tonight.

ROLL TIDE!!
