oh just a sprained finger and a big ole eye cut. happy annviersary!

this little 6, was made by me for my stone to say heeeeeey baby, good morning and happy 6 years, i love you. and plus, i love, so much, to look back at all our old timey pictures. buuut! this 6, it also left me with a sprained finger and a nice laceration above my left eye. so there was that...

pre-anniversary i had a bunch of pictures developed of our little faces and tried my very best to form the 6 one afternoon. i slide it under the couch to keep safe from all human boy eyes and planned to hang the little beauty the next morning. but that night, charlie spotted it, and started pawing at it, ruining the pictures! ohhh NOOO! noooo Charles! i went to spank his bottom but little puppy is waaay too fast, and so my fingers all came together and hit the floor. ow ow ow. pain! i woke up the next morning with a sprained middle finger, bruised and swollen, not very pretty. oh but it gets better!

early that morning,  i snuck out of bed to put up my masterpiece (..or something, 6's are hard to make..oook!?). and while doing so, standing on a chair, i reached down for the tape. whiiich just so happened to be placed on this little corner table i have that also holds an antler candelabra. so while not  paying much attention and maybe still half asleep, as i bent over, my eye went DIRECTLY into the top pointy antler. ahhhhh. i mean, really AHHH. pain. such terrible pain! i grabbed my eye and then noticed my hand was covered in blood.

so after some "oh my gosh, stone wake up WAKE UP! blood! help help!" and him playing doctor, i visited a real life doctor who put a splint on this middle finger of mine and glued part of my bruising eye. wooo happy anniversary! telling the doctors this whole story was definitely the cherry on top but i am just reaaaaally quite thankful that i missed my actual eye. just a day in the life......and all over the number SIX!

***but day one, of year 6, turned out to be a really good one. minus almost going blind and all, minor details...
