happiest football season to you and you and you! it was so nice to welcome our sweet home alabama football back into our lives this past weekend! alabama, i love it so. it's the most fun cheering for a team that, you know, wins... like a lot. but even when they don't! or at least when we they didn't back in our college days, we still loved everything about it.
so, for the first time since college [!!!! what!?] i got to spend gameday numbero uno WITH my stone. with him. in our crimson[ish]. tooogether. get out of town, right? that hasn't happened in years. i'm usually texting him the score while he's at the baseball field. not this year! so we were happy peeps. but also. not to pick favorites or anything... but i was on cloud 2135 because i got to reunite with two of my college roommates. and it was just like old times. we laughed the entire day. we just get each other, the good, the great and the blah. [there were also three other roommates missing :( :( who complete our perfect college house polygon]
college sometimes isn't peoples thing, you know, and that's okay. but college, for me, it was. i had the time of my young little life. it's the place where i met a lot of loves, ones that i'm so happy are still in my life. some i see on a daily basis (hey stone!) and some i don't because of distances and such, but they are there and they are some of the very best (hey mansion!). i was thinking about my freshman college girl self earlier. coming from Connecticut to Alabama and not knowing anyone. i know there were bits of nervousness, but i never questioned the decision. i think i just had a good feeling. and so i sometimes wish i could tell the nervous part of pre-freshman chelsea all the greatness that was awaiting me, but it was pretty fun discovering it along the way.
so welcome back football season and roll tide. forever and ever.
