wedding dresses & a loot of thankfulness

i have decided something!! wedding dress shopping. i like it very much. i like feeling very princessy and alsooo! i really love the special ones who have come to help me so far! both make my heart so very happy and excited! sooo excited! [and also wanting to tell austin everything! he's my person. but realizing mums the word! eeeeeep] the  first time i went dress shopping was with my mommy over thanksgiving.  i tried on dresses, and my mom cried happy tears. which made me happy because that iiiis what is supposed to happen i thought?? and it did. so, thanks mom!

this past sunday i went on my first wedding dress shopping trip in atlanta, but this time with three of the best, sweetest, kindest bridesmaids i could have [oh but i missed my three other long distance ones so much!] but just having those three there, it makes me love them even more. do you know what i mean? marriage, its the biggest life event and these girls, they have all known austin and i from the very beginning, its a really cool, amazing thing to have them be apart of it all, by my side.  my one bridesmaid who lives a plane ride away asked if i cried. oh they know me well! but surprise! no tears. until after it was all over, and i was home with my boys and cried a liiittle bit, because i just felt [still feel!] this overwhelming thankfulness for these ladies in my life, a greater appreciation and respect and all that tingly good stuff. and i maybe keep thinking about one dress in particular, so it was a good trip! but i still have some searching to do! and actually my mom decided to hop a flight from connecticut and help me look this weekend. squeezing in one more trip before the brand new year!

hopefully one of those mother/daughter days will also end with deviled eggs, sugar bacon, chips and flat breads, because that was a really good bride/bridesmaid executive decision on our part.

I absolutley LOVED wedding dress shopping. Of Course I was head strong on making it a One Day, One Shop thing. I knew the Designer and Shop I wanted and I wasn't going to settle for anything else. LUCKILY - bringing 10 people wasn't a total fail for me because I walked away with my dream dress. LOL

Happy Shopping!!!!! :)

As a former bride, now wife, wedding dress shopping was the best experience ever. Especially when you can share it with those you truly care about.

WOOHOO! get ready for the best time ever!
